I recently had a very unsatisfactory and disappointing dealing with this business. Having bought a new cake tin at Pots (and spending more than I would normally spend in the expectation of buying a better quality product), I was keen to try out the new cake tin. Unfortunately, I found that the adhesive label on the tin was virtually impossible to remove without leaving a sticky residue. After soaking the pan in soapy water and trying to gently scrub it over a period of time, the adhesive remained. Eventually, I decided to put it in the dishwasher. When I took it out of the dishwasher I was astonished to see that the cake tin was now covered in rusty marks. I have a very good dishwasher and frequently put my much older and less expensive bakeware in without any problems. Because I have never actually had the chance to cook with this cake tin I decided to take it back to the shop and inform them of the problems I encountered. Because the store owner was not there when I came in, the shop assistant took my name and phone number and told me the owner would be in touch. However, the owner did not bother to contact me at all. It was only after I rang the shop some weeks later that I got any response. Unfortunately, the owner refused to refund my money because I had put it in the dishwasher, despite the fact that there was no indication on the label to say that it was not dishwasherproof. Her only concern seemed to be the fact that she "can't sell it now" and not whether the customer received a usable product. The owner still has my money and I have to buy another cake tin elsewhere. I think this is an apalling way to do business and I won't be going back!
