Data strip or Scan Strip is the adhesive plastic stripping that goes on shelves. It holds a computer generated label that gives a description of the item sold and its price. The scan stripping is available in two basic sizes of 914 mm (old 3 foot size) and 1200 mm (old 4 foot size). These two sizes fit most merchandise and shelving units in use today.
