Portable XRF Services is an Australian based company established in 2010 by Dr. Nigel Brand to provide independent services into the ever increasing pXRF market with a focus on the mineral industry. Nigel Brand has worked around the globe in diverse climatic and geological environments; from grassroots mineral exploration to geometallurgy in both ferrous and non-ferrous commodities always taking an active interest in new advances in the mining industry and academic circles. In July 2010 through Geochemical Services Nigel acquired a pXRF and having used it could see the potential for this new technology in the mining industry. So in 2011 he went on to set up Portable XRF Services to provide an independent XRF service. Portable XRF Services is committed to providing a quality service to the industry and to imparting knowledge and furthering the education of the industry in the application of portable XRF analysis.
