Fred is a good roofer – he’s a hard worker, gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Sadly his professionalism leaves something to be desired. During the course of the job, damage was done to my driveway and the existing guttering which would be easily rectified, however, he has not acknowledged any of my attempts to contact him about this and I now am in a position where I will need to pay for others to repair the damage that was done by Fred and his workers.

Maybe he does great roofs – I haven’t had bad weather to test it yet, but for sure this man has no business skills at all. He thinks that just turning up one morning and announcing that he’s there to do the job right now is good business practice. He becomes belligerent when asked to provide just 24 hours’ notice before he plans on doing the job so that you can organise yourself. When he and his workers are on the job, they think it’s okay to flick their still alight cigarette butts all over your property (including the space where your dogs are). They bring their ghetto blaster and have it going at such volume that it’s broadcasting all over your neighbourhood. He threw a hissy fit and became intolerably rude when it was pointed out that by putting all the old roofing sheets directly in front of my gate, I could no longer leave or enter my property. Finally, when the job is done and dusted, you realise that he and his workers have pretty much destroyed your still fairly new driveway by dragging the metal sheets instead of carrying them, leaving hundreds of scratches of varying depth and length, and the places where the new metal sheets were dragged over the guttering (which was previously fine – he even said so) have the paint removed and are back to bare metal, now requiring repainting. To add insult to injury, despite a number of extremely polite texts asking him to come and investigate the damage he caused, there has been no response. I have been left to pay to repair the damage that this man has done. I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. Hire him at your peril.
