Periwinkle Antiques, Port Fairy, VIC

Hi, I am Vicki Lowenthal and the proprietor of Periwinkle Antiques. I have been a licensed secondhand dealer for around 24 years and enjoy the antiques trade immensely. My husband Bruce and I first opened a shop in Port Fairy in 1984, we opened this shop with a friend and called it Sackville Street Antiques, we eventually opened our own shop in larger premises in 1993 and named this shop Old'n'Rustic Antiques. However after so many years in the shop I decided to retire in 2003. But like all things in life never say never so now I have reopened in smaller premises in Bank Street where I have changed my style selling less of the rustic but lots of beautiful china, vintage fashion, collectables and other interesting items. I only sell things I like myself so I hope you like my taste too. I am happy to look for specific items for you so if you have any special "wants" email me and I will let you know if something comes in to suit. For the interior of the shop (see photo above) I have several illuminated cabinets as well as small pieces of Victorian furniture that I use to display my stock. The shop is very well lit and cosy and warm during those colder Victorian winters. Here I am with my able bodied assistant Belinda who never complains about standing in the window even with her undies on. Usually she is a little more covered with some of the fabulous 50's dresses and hats that I love to have in stock.
