In a market of mass-produced furniture, largely manufactured offshore, NORDIC DESIGN’s focus to use local craftsmanship and quality materials has proved a solid vision to our business, providing customers with the very best quality in furniture. For over 40 years, the family owned business has kept the focus very clear — provide furniture that is beautiful, sustainable, functional and adaptable to individual needs. From humble beginnings in 1972, NORDIC DESIGN began in Ridgehaven, South Australia. Through innovation and sheer hard work, the business grew rapidly resulting in a move to a purpose built factory at Holden Hill in 1978. The demand continued causing another move in 1995 to our larger and current premises at Stepney. We have seen our furniture travel to such places as London, New York, parts of Asia and even the Solomon Islands. We thank all our customers of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
