Ashfield hotel have put beers up 12 cent’s because I used eftpos? The first beer I purchased was $7.20. The next one was twelve cents dearer apparently because of what I was told by bar staff” transaction fee for using my card and not paying cash” . When another patron who was paying cash asked staff why the transaction fee? He was told by staff that it doesn’t concern him.is this the way to conduct business? The poor barman didn’t know what was happening until duty manager told him. Not the best way to entice patronage if there’s a discriminatory surcharge for using a card instead of cash
