On no account should you ever become a tenant of a property under the National Housing Group no matter what. Entering a lease agreement with them was one of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life. Staff work to scam you all the way through from start to finish, have no compunction about lying to you to entrap you and have no administrative competence. They used me in a totally cynical way, promising me I'd be able to stay on renting one of they properties after an initial 8 months long lease only to kick me out instead. They did this even though I never missed a rent payment, kept the place clean and was a quiet, peaceful tenant who was good for the neighbourhood. On forcing me to move out they continued the manipulative abuse, trying to trick me in to returning the keys on the Monday after the lease ended (on the Sunday before) so they could scam me for an extra day's rent. Along with this, they tried to blame me for pre-existing damage to the property, already there before I ever set foot in the place, making an attempt to claim for the repair from my bond. They think they're above the law and treat you in a despicable way. For an organisation managing a scheme.thats supposed to be about providing affordable housing for the most vulnerable in our community,. they're anything but caring or responsible. If this is the experience you want in renting a home, them sure, go deal with National Housing Group. Only giving them 1 star because.the website.doesnt.let me put none - I recommend you run screaming from National Housing Group. I regret the day I submitted a rental application with them and if I could turn back time knowing what I know now, would.never have done it
