My Club Rooms & Function Centre, Cannington, WA

We are a Not for profit, the Australian Post-Tel Institute of WA, our head office is based in Perth, Western Australia. We exist to save our members money!

We operate and own 21 Holiday Homes and Apartments for our membership group and provide accommodation discounts/rewards and benefits for our members. Originally established in 1925, API WA was a combination of the Australian Postmaster Service and Telecom Australia social club. Over the years our not-for-profit association APIWA has grown in to an independent rewards and benefits program for individuals, clubs, employers and others who want to save! Today we have members nationwide and they save on everything from shopping discounts (discount gift card purchases) at major national retailers, accommodation discounts at holiday homes across Australia and even Entertainment (cheap tickets to movies, events and popular attractions).

Accommodation – We subsidize holiday accommodation for seniors in the community (of all cultures) who otherwise could not afford to have a break. It is a service that supports seniors' mental health and promotes independence for seniors in our community. We are looking to further these services and provide discounts for people with a disability (once we can upgrade the facilities) and housing for carers who need respite. We advocate for respite services and even support the local hospitals and house nurses needed in the community where possible.

Shopping - We also provide shopping discounts and coupons for families and seniors so that they can access cheaper roadside assistance, cheaper groceries, and purchase items cheaper than the general public. We also provide dining and discounts at our locations so that the extra expense of their respite holiday is cheaper for them.

Financial - We also supply financial services referrals to organizations that we have vetted and we know will look after our member's financial decision making. Wills, estates, financial planning, investment, conveyancing, and mortgage assistance.

Supporting another charitable purpose - We also, where possible try to support other charity events and support their fundraising initiatives. We would like to further this and run our own events to hand over donations and give our community access to support them through us and our partnerships with them.

Supporting Industry - We are in a position where we can support smaller clubs and by amalgamating with them we can fundraise for them and keep them open, albeit under our umbrella. We already at the moment financially support 'sub-clubs / branches' in this capacity and in the future wish to save others from liquidation or closing and find a way to keep them open and supported.

Training - We are working with RTO's to provide training to our community members and also clubs and branches that need support with governance templates, meeting templates, RSA and general small club management resources. Our goal here is to keep seniors and the general community engaged in the community and living independently. Many small clubs run off volunteers who don't necessarily have the computer skills or the knowledge required to grow their club, that's where we can assist.

Club Room - Our clubroom is operated to also support the community and give people the opportunity to connect at reasonable rates!

All proceeds from our operations, go back to the assoication to continue to support the members and the community to thrive!
