Victorian waters are rich in a diverse range of marine life and underwater artifacts. Our bays and waterways have created a unique underwater terrain; consisting of colourful walls and underwater cliffs through to reefs made up of massive bommies and sensational kelp forests. Port Phillip and Westernport bays are also the home of some very special creatures including the weedy sea dragon; The southern coastline of Victoria is home to literally hundreds of ship wrecks, some that are regularly dived and many that have not yet been discovered. These wrecks range from vessels scuttled as recently as the 1970’s through to ships that have come to sudden and unexpected fate whilst traversing the dangerous coastline of Victoria. The waters surrounding the entrance to Port Phillip Bay are home to a number of wrecks; including our sensational fleet of world war one submarines. The “J Class” submarines were stripped and scuttled after being decommissioned, and are now home to a vast array of marine life and make for a sensational wreck dive. metro DIVE offers a range of PADI dive courses from beginner through to professional and even technical and specialty programs. metro DIVE employ PADI certified instructors to bring you a suite of programs from discover scuba experiences (for those that would like to try before committing to a certification course) through to our 'Build-Your-Own-Course' Open Water program and finally our range of PADI Specialty and Professional courses. The crew at metro DIVE are all highly training PADI Professionals qualified and insured to ensure that you are provided with the safest, most enjoyable and professional diving experiences.
