Description
Make a Joyful Noise Wellbeing and Counselling is passionate about helping young people be their best. We offer counselling services for kids aged 4–12 years old and music wellbeing workshops for schools and kinders. We make counselling fun, using music, craft, games and other fun activities. With a qualified and registered counsellor, we help your child work through their challenges and reach their potential.

Make a Joyful Noise Wellbeing and Counselling is passionate about helping young people be their best.
We offer counselling services for kids aged 4–12 years old. We use fun activities catered to each individual child, utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy techniques within a child-centred framework. The techniques learnt empower your child to navigate life's challenges. All sessions are conducted by Ruth Salisbury, a qualified counsellor and member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Some of the areas we can help your child with include:
General counselling, social skills, behaviour management, self-esteem and confidence, emotional regulation, anxiety (including separation anxiety and school refusal), support for kids experiencing bullying behaviours, friendship/relationship support, navigating challenging changes (such as family separation), support for children in out-of-home care, support during long-term illness and more! Make a Joyful Noise Wellbeing and Counselling also runs wellbeing incursion workshops for kinders and schools, empowering children with skills and strategies that enhance their wellbeing. Ruth has a love for music and you will often see that throughout the incursion workshops. These workshops help in emotional literacy, emotional regulation, empathy, school readiness, the power of how we think and more. All while the kids are having a great time!
