Maddies is a delightful home set among lovely cottage and water gardens and is the longest operating Bed & Breakfast in the Maitland area. Just 2 hours north of Sydney, it is centrally located to experience all the Hunter Valley has to offer. Bolwarra is situated in scenic farmland between historic Maitland and Morpeth. Close to Wineries, Barrington Tops National Park, Port Stephens and Newcastle, the unique setting provides an ideal location for a Weekend Getaway, Function or intimate Wedding. Maddies provides accommodation for up to seven adults and offers the convenience of private facilities. All three bedrooms have their own bathrooms - two with a deep claw-footed bath. The inclusion of mosquito nets, period furniture and fine linen all add to that old world feel. Self - contained accommodation for up to six guests is also available. After a day spent exploring the vineyards, horse riding, bushwalking, fossicking through local antique stores or just taking time out, we can recommend excellent restaurants or stay in and let Maddies complete the experience with a candle - lit dinner. In winter, curl up by an open fire with a glass of the Hunter Valley's best. On summer days relax on the shaded verandahs or beneath landscaped waterfalls. Our passion is good food, so come and indulge yourselves. We invite you to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, or perhaps a picnic hamper filled with luscious handmade cheeses.
