My name is Donna James, co-founder of www.localchildcare.au, but more importantly, mum of three. After having our children, a friend and I quickly realised how hard it was to find information about our local child care services (besides calling every centre or going from centre to centre with our little ones in tow). We realised that there was a need for all parents to have a quick and easy way to find detailed information at our fingertips and when it suited us. We needed to see a snap shot of local child care centres and find out information like - what do they provide, what ages do they accept and photographs of what they looked like. Something that would allow us to shortlist the centres that suited our children.
