LiteracyPlanet is now more flexible to use with a new student guided mode, a structured adventure-style learning path for students with comprehensive and engaging content. Teachers can now choose from student guided, teacher guided or a combination of both and be as as hands-off or hands-on with their teaching approach using this program. LiteracyPlanet also hosts Word Mania, an annual national word building competition for children in Years 1-6. During LiteracyPlanet's Word Mania 2015, more than 105, 000 primary schoolers from over 1, 300 schools built more than 43 million words correctly and spent over 10 million minutes improving their literacy skills.
