JANA Investment Advisers Pty Ltd (JANA) is a leading investment consulting firm, with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. Our core business is providing traditional and implemented consulting advice to institutional clients, including corporate, industry and public sector superannuation clients as well as charities, foundations and endowment clients. As at 31 December 2013, we advised over 100 clients with assets of $300bn. This includes $30bn on JANA’s investment platform. JANA was established in September 1987 as John A Nolan and Associates Pty Ltd, one of the pioneers of investment consulting in the Australian market. In December 2000, JANA became a fully-owned subsidiary of the National Australia Bank (‘nab’). In February 2012, MLC Implemented Consulting (MLC IC) and JANA Implemented Consulting (JANA IC) combined to establish a ‘best of breed‘ institutional consulting business. It became the largest implemented consulting business in Australia, with combined clients under advice at the time of some $25 billion. The joint implemented consulting team was consolidated under the JANA brand.
