Jackman & McRoss in New Town is a beloved bakery known for its exceptional pies and pastries, particularly the scallop, lamb, rabbit, and chickpea and vegetable pies, as well as the cauliflower and brie pie, caraway seeded rye bread, and Apricot cream cheese Danish. The coffee and teas are highly praised, with some customers mentioning the friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Some customers have noted inconsistencies with the coffee and prices, but overall the service is considered great. The bakery is popular and can be busy, but the outdoor tables are a great alternative.
