Independent Grocers of Australia IGA Mount Louisa

Hello we have bought meat from our local iga in Mount Louisa and I am not happy. For starter we were not issued with a docket at the registers and apparently because it maybe store policy according to the supervisor…we are not entitled to a refund, yet the meat was so bad it smelt like rotten eggs when we opened the bag! I am not happy as this was meant to be for the sons and grandchildren's dinner! I ended up going to domain iga to see if they carried the same dates on their meats but saw that the labelling was different and this shop looked a lot more authentic with their layout and labels and apparently are not affiliated with the Mount Louisa ga. I believe we should be refunded as it only takes one person to speak about the same issue which I know has been ongoing for quite some time ! This is morals and comes down to the customer service aspect and common sense and decency. There is a ripple effect with what happens in local communities and we have been supporting this shop plus many of our neighbours as well for many years…. you would think out of common sense and decency the meat would of been replaced or refunded as the label was kept! The manager at the other iga in domain said he's replaced things that come back into his store in a heartbeat as this is the respect from him and not just policy. I said yes it comes down to humanity having the ability to show compassion and this also provides better communication and customer relationships for all .. including the community and the surrounds ! Everyone is happy if their is respect from both parties, instead of things being brushed under the carpet ! Nothing changes if nothing changes
