Heidelberg Historical Society

The Heidelberg Historical Society Museum's current exhibition, Truth Beauty and Utility: The Arts and Crafts Movement in Heidelberg, is a comprehensive and fascinating insight into the local history from approximately 1880 to 1930. The exhibition covers the Californian Bungalows and earlier Arts and Crafts Ivanhoe homes in the area and beyond. Visitors praise the curator's deep understanding and the meticulously put-together displays, as well as the Art Nouveau design. The exhibition requires careful study to fully appreciate the period and its influence on local history. Some visitors found other exhibitions less satisfying, but overall, the museum is highly regarded for its dedication to preserving Heidelberg's history.
