Hayes Sterling Financial Planning Hayes Sterling was formed in 1989, initially to offer financial advisory services to clients of Adelaide-based chartered accountants, Nelson Wheeler (now Nelson Wheeler Nexia). The focus in our early years arguably was more on pure investment advice than on financial planning. But we evolved, our client list grew, and our focus today is much more diverse. We are committed to independence. To this end, we secured our own unrestricted Securities Dealers Licence, issued by the Australian Securities Commission. This has since converted to an Australian Financial Services Licence under the Financial Services Reform Act and consequential changes to the Corporations Act (2001).
