At Goodstart Early Learning Moreton Downs, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a Government funded kindergarten and long day care program under the one roof, awarded as “Exceeding National Quality Standard” when our centre was assessed under the National Quality Standards in April 2014. We are a beautiful purpose built centre, operating since September 2004. We are located in the family friendly estate of Moreton Downs in Deception Bay, five minutes from the Bruce Highway and 10 minutes from North Lakes Westfield. With local shops and public transport at our doorstep, everything you need is in the estate. We are also right next door to the Moreton Downs Primary School, where we have an effective transition program allowing the move to “big school” much easier for all parties involved. Many of our wonderful qualified educators have been part of our team for a number of years, providing a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life. We are also fortunate to have Miss Claire, who holds a Bachelor of Education qualification, to implement the Government approved Kindergarten Program in the Kindergarten Room. Our centre is able to provide early learning and care for children 6 weeks to 6 years. With two spacious playgrounds and resources plentiful, each room provides weekly programs that consist of exciting, age appropriate educational activities and experiences covering science, literacy, numeracy, cognitive (thinking) skills, problem solving, computers, multi-cultural, diversity and gender equality to promote each child’s individual development. The recent introduction of tablet computers within the child care centre has also allowed our educators to teach children about technology, how to use this and to also have access to the internet to learn and investigate topics raised by the children at the touch of a finger.
