Glenferrie Early Childhood Centre Inc, Hawthorn, VIC

Note: We are currently updating our website to incorporate information on our new centre. The Glenferrie Early Childhood Centre, often known as “GECC”, is a community-based child care centre operating in Council-owned premises in Hawthorn in the City of Boroondara. There are four rooms grouped according to age: 9 places for babies up to 18 months old, 10 places for children of ages 18 months to 2½ years old, 10 places for children of ages 2½ to 3½ years old, and 25 places for children of 3 to 5 years old. A kindergarten program operates for children aged over 3 years for several hours each day. Late fees are charged if parents arrive after the scheduled closing time. GECC provides long day childcare and kindergarten for 50 weeks of the year, and is closed over the Christmas and New Year period.
