Gateway Constructions is a Queensland based company, quickly spreading its activities over the east coast and aiming to operate Australia wide. Several overseas projects are also in the pipeline. We are members of the Housing Industry of Australia and The Master Builders Association. Gateway Constructions and the 'Takeaway' series of housing is the result of a collaboration between builder and architect. The bond between Gabriel Poole of Gabriel and Elizabeth Poole Design Company and Jim Margach of Gateway Constructions began when Jim sought Gabriel's design skills for an off shore project requiring a transportable building system. This led to the development of a system that can be completely pre-built in a factory and then containerised for transport. Gabriel leans strongly toward innovation in his architecture and implementation of better building systems. However, the buildings too may be tailored to the individual requirements of clients with particular care being taken to preserve sites and to design to the requirements of climate. For most of his career this has resulted in light weight architecture. Gabriel has received many awards including the most prestigious RAIA Gold Medal for his lifetime contribution to Australian Architecture. Gateway Constructions, Managing Director Jim Margach has over thirty five years experience in the building trade. Jim ensures all projects are run to his exacting standards with qualified staff to check quality control and ensure that each and every job is quality assured. Jim has received many professional accolades in the building industry both locally and nationally.
