I was reversed into by someone and my car was taken by ammi to manango body repairs, my car was mechanically sound before this and it's a bmw , I picked it up a month later the new bonnet is not on correctly and I still have the same bumper that was torn and crumbled as the indent from the other car is still visible and the paint job feels matty and the texture is not gloss like the rest of my car even after a wash the paint is still dusty, my husband said that's because it hadn't been preped properly before paint application they didn't use a tac rag to take all the dust and dirt (my husband has been a panel beater ), but that's not what I'm worried about, I picked my car up to drive it back to narangba , the car was surging and having trouble staying going, when I got it home my partner checked the oil and it was bone dry, was told ammi don't do wear and tear only fix the car after an accident how can it be wear and tear they took my car and it was going, long story short my car will not start at all no crank nothing, to the point were I have had to go finance on another car, I have a son with Disabilities so I NEED my car, so I contacted ammi today asking again what can they do to help me, so apparently assessor is going to contact me. I just want my car back the way it was before all of this, I'm also going to have my mechanic look over the car and I will be taking legal action all I know is I'm out a car a very expensive car I worked hard for and to top it off am in debt on a new car that I wouldn't have had to get if people did things properly

My partner had his car repaired here after being in an accident the insurance company covered the repairs however upon picking up the vehicle the first time we noticed that it had the wrong front bar on it and that the scrap up the read end had not been repaired.. We then organised to have those problems fixed up and were told we could bring it back and that they would phone us with a time to do so.. However upon leaving the panel shop we entered the M1 where the car began to overheat majorly and the check engine lights came on like crazy !! My partner pulled the vehicle over to check water and all oils and they were fine so he let it cool down and we began to be on our way again we were travelling to edenslanding however we made it to garden city and we had to stop again we took that exit and parked the car in a parking lot because of the sound and the defaults.... We phoned the insurance company and we phoned the repairer both of them told us that a mechanic had looked at the vehicle this didn't make sense considering the issues we were having !! The insurance company ended up organising a tow truck to have the vehicle towed back to the shop.. It was approx a week later that we recieved a call saying it was just a minor problem of which had been repaired and that they also fixed the front bumper !! So off to the shop we went again to pick up the vehicle upon arrival we saw that yes the bumper had been fixed however the scrap on the rear hadn't ... My partner wasn't too fussed about that minor detail he was just happy they had finally got the right bumper and that hopefully they had properly fixed whatever was wrong with the engine... It's two weeks later now and the car had been running okay (abit rough but nothing like it was when we first got it back) right up until yesterday we were at home the car hadn't been started for hours we went out to the car to go on upon starting the vehicle there was a horrible knocking noise coming from the motor (same noise that was happening when we first picked up the vehicle only this time the noise was 110 times worse and LOUD.. Being a Sunday we will have to wait to be able to contact insurance and the shop until Monday (tomorrow) .... Overall we are very disappointed in what has happened as would anyone be... We originally had the vehicle repaired due too a front end crash !! After the crash we drove the vehicle to the insurance claim centre !! And the noise had NOT been there when we were driving the vehicle AFTER THE ACCIDENT ... We were told by the assessor at the claims centre that the vehicle had no mechanical damage and that it was just all body work ... Funny that isn't it considering before the accident this car was perfect !! After the accident the front was a bit messed up but the car still ran smoothly !! Now this body shop has gone and "fixed" the vehicle it seems that yes, the front has been repaired after the accident however things have been turned 110% worse then what they were !! We are just hoping that the body shop and insurance can help us out considering this all happened after they touched it !! Being a body shop god knows how they knew what they were doing messing around with mechanic side of things !! We do not mean to diss this company or put a bad name however we are just stating our experience to warn others to just ensure you check all aspects of your vehicle before leaving the shop !! Such a disgrace :(
