Flanagan Glynis J, North Manly, NSW

In 1994 Glynis Flanagan commenced private practice as an occupational therapist in Sydney. She has since built a reputation as one of Australia's leading occupational therapists in provision of medico-legal reports. She has provided expert opinion and evidence in catastrophic cases in Australia and Internationally. Glynis qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1980. Her experience includes having worked in acute and rehabilitation hospitals; community organisations, industrial settings, insurance companies and private practice. Glynis' work experience includes having worked with children and adults, with various diagnoses including neurological conditions, head injuries, orthopaedic injuries, cerebral palsy, musculoskeletal injuries and spinal cord injuries. Glynis has extensive experience and particular interest in spinal cord injury. During her career she has established and managed the occupational therapy services in two spinal cord injury units. Glynis has a strong interest in continuing education and has recently completed a Life Care Planning Certification Course in the United States of America and is in the process of completing the requirements to be a Certified Life Care Planner with the International Commission on Health Care Certification. Her specialised interest in Life Care Planning is with spinal cord injury, brain injury and catastrophic injuries.
