Empty Hands Martial Arts (EHMA), was formed to promote the awareness and growth of Ed. Parkers American Kenpo (EPAK) within South Australia.

Established in 2008, the EHMA aims to offer it’s members access to the highest quality training, as well as access to some of the foremost modern day Kenpo authorities from around the world. Sensei Tim Barnes is the Head Instructor of EHMA. EHMA is part of Associate Master Graham Lelliott's Kenpo family tree.

All Our instructors are internationally ranked and qualified, 1st Aid Qualified and Police checked. Training is conducted in an environment that fosters humility, ethical behaviour, friendship and fun.

We offer 3 programs:

Ed Parkers American Kenpo (EPAK)
Utilizing the 16 technique syllabus, the last revision of Ed Parker’s American Kenpo. Incorporating all sets, forms (Short, Long & Universal) and 155 techniques together with the essential principles, concepts and theories which make EPAK a martial science. The 16 Technique syllabus charts are organized by type of attack as reflected in Mr. Parker's "Web of Knowledge" and follows a logical pattern. Open to men and women ages 16 and up.

Kenpo Tactical Systems (KTS)
Focusing on more of the self defence aspects of EPAK, with approx. 80 techniques from yellow-black belt. This program is for those who want to study a martial art, but who can’t train multiple occasions a week. Incorporating Universal forms, sets as well as the essential principles, concepts and theories which make EPAK such an effective martial art.
Women only and family classes also available.

Atomic Tiger Warriors (ATW)
Developed specifically for kids (5-12), teaching invaluable life-skills of confidence, respect, self esteem, commitment and focus, all in a caring team environment that leaves no one behind. Incorporating Universal forms, sets and approx. 60 techniques from yellow to black belt.
