Egoli Place of Gold employs four qualified goldsmiths and one goldsmith’s apprentice, as well as a gemmologist and valuer, and receptionist. Egoli Place of Gold operates under the leadership of Tony Whitehorn, who has over 30 years’ experience in every aspect of designing and crafting jewellery. In his time, Tony has trained 9 apprentices, two of whom still work for Egoli Place of Gold.
Egoli Place of Gold emphasises the friendly, relaxed atmosphere it provides for its customers. Customers are encouraged to bring their own ideas to Egoli Place of Gold to collaborate with the goldsmiths in realising them. In addition to creating custom-made jewellery, Egoli Place of Gold repairs, alters, restores, resizes and remodels jewellery. Customers who acquire or inherit old pieces of jewellery can have them remade into exciting contemporary designs.
With both goldsmiths and a gemmologist on the team. Egoli Place of Gold can also supply insurance valuations on jewellery and precious stones. Egoli Place of Gold is registered with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers, and is therefore fully qualified to provide photographic valuations for insurance purposes.
