Dr Lisa Shim, Macquarie Park, NSW

Dr Lisa Shim is a Gastroenterologist at Gastrointestinal Health Sydney, Macquarie Park. She graduated at UNSW in 2002 and completed her physician training at both Concord Hospital and Nepean Hospital, NSW. She obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physician in 2009. Subsequently Dr Shim undertook Master of Philosophy (University of Sydney) at the Royal North Shore Hospital focusing on gut dysmotility. She has a special interest in functional gut disorders which includes conditions such as refractory reflux, dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal bloating and chronic constipation. She has multiple publications in the field of lower gut dysmotility and continues to have ongoing research in both upper and lower gut dysfunction. Her practice also covers other areas of Gastroenterology such as treatment of viral hepatitis (e.g. B and C), fatty liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
