Donut King Sunbury Square

Donut King, with its excellent service, has always been a favourite spot for us to have a coffee and donut. That is until today. Today, 29th December 2016, it was extremely obvious that the staff at Donut King was understaffed with only one girl servicing the tables. My husband ordered his usual coffee and donut, took his number and sat and waited as usual for his coffee and donut to arrive. His coffee arrived and the number was removed from the table, but he did not receive the donuts he ordered. The girl servicing the tables was frantically taking coffee and donuts to the other tables but the donuts ordered by my husband did not arrive at our table. So very calmly I interrupted the waitress as she passed and asked what happened to my husbands donuts. Suddenly the waitress went into the enclosure and spoke with another staff member crying, whereupon the staff member came out to our table and accussed me of abusing her friend and making her cry. What! I know I have a rough voice but that was ridiculous. In the hospitality industry employees should be used to complaints etc. from customers without an outburst of tears. And, never have I ever had a staff member come and bully me in public because I asked for the rest of my husband's order. That is inappropriate behavior for an employee in the hospitality industry. Had this female empoyee been employeed in the 1960 and spoke to a customer the way I was spoken to, she would have sacked on the spot. Looks like nowdays customer service is no longer important. So sad as both my husband and I still prefer the coffee and donuts from the Donut King.
