In 2005, Orthopaedic Surgeon and vineyard owner, Dr Darren Waters (Doc) and Viticulturist, Adam Jacobs (Adam) established Doc Adams Wines in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Their mission was simple: "To select the best red wine varieties from McLaren Vale, South Australia and to source other white wine varieties from other cool climate regions in order to produce the best possible wines for its range.” Making wines we enjoy to drink is our main objective that we are passionate about. The talented team of Doc Adams Wines, led by viticulturalist Adam Jacobs is dedicated to showcasing the best of McLaren Vale grape growing and winemaking. Graduating from Charles Sturt University in Viticulture at Wagga Wagga, NSW, Adam's business concepts from grape to glass are huge assets for the Doc Adams Wine company. Highly regarded Orthopaedic surgeon, Darren Waters, is a graduate of Flinders University, South Australia who subsequently trained in Orthopeadic Surgery in Adelaide, South Australia. Whilst surgery is Darren's daily activity his after hours passion is his devotion to his wife Libby and family and to his McLaren Vale vineyard. His passion to grow high class wine grapes has never wavered but continues to grow each vintage as he sees the vineyard produce more concentrated fruit characters for the best that Doc Adams can bring. Through much dedication to grow excellent wine grapes which result in great wine, Adam Jacobs and Doctor Darren Waters have forged an alliance which enables them to now produce world class wines on all stages.
