David Tierney & Associates, Mount Eliza, VIC

Dr David Tierney is an experienced Clinical Psychologist, with a strong interest in assisting adults and adolescents with a broad range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, anger, interpersonal problems, difficulties adjusting to significant life changes, grief and loss, pain management, and trauma (e.g. abuse, PTSD). He utilizes a broad range of evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-oriented approaches, hypnosis and debriefing.
David is happy to receive referrals via Medicare, private health, DVA, TAC, NDIS, Workcover, and provides an employee assistance service to organizations/employers.
David’s work has also included a significant focus on building mental health capacity and services across Victoria, the Mornington Peninsula, and internationally. His work has been published in Australia, and overseas.
