Having raced for a number of Major Factory Teams in his Career, Dale decided to retire from professional motorsport in 1997 and return home to Perth, Western Australia. Dale then chose to compete in the Western Australian State MX series riding everything from KTM's to Kawasaki's until he "officially" retired from Motorcross in 2004. Enduro racing became a hobby but even Dale admits racing Enduro's was purley about "having some fun with the Lads".
