We have a Coonara Gas log fire which is about 12 years old. Model CGU 20B AGA APP 6117. It's weakest point seemed to be the ignition. We had to have that attended to a few times. Last winter it was still working fine and when I turned it on recently, again, it would not light. I called a gas plumber and his ultimate verdict was that it was the fan and we were told that the part was no longer available, and that we needed a new heater. I am awaiting their quote. I am looked around myself and this seems to be quite an expensive exercise. Do Coonara heaters only last for such a short time?? What's the time-frame for spare parts availability? I would appreciate your response. As far as rating is concerned, all I can say, I am somewhat reluctant to purchase another Coonara. The lifespan is just too short and there appear problems with servicing.
