Complete Physio Richmond

Complete was founded in May 2013 by Associate Professor Christian Barton and Professor Peter Malliaras, who both possess a strong research interest and passion for improving clinical practice. They first worked together in the Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, completing musculoskeletal pain rehabilitation research and discovering their shared passion for the translation of research to those that count, patients.

Frustrated by misinterpretation of research by good intentioned clinicians, they recognised that doing good research is not enough. Both originally from Melbourne, Peter and Christian returned between 2011 and 2012 and started to plan Complete. Physio Exercise Performance. Their primary goals for starting the clinic were to perform clinical research that impacts patient care, educate clinicians and patients, and ultimately improve patient care.
