Coastal Connect Counselling provides couples counselling and individual relationship counselling on the Gold Coast and via telehealth across Australia.

Led by Carlene Prentice, the practice supports people experiencing relationship strain, communication difficulties, conflict, emotional distance, separation, family change, and relationship uncertainty. Whether you are navigating ongoing conflict, considering the future of your relationship, or adjusting to separation, counselling provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to better understand what is happening and move through it with greater understanding and support.

Couples counselling draws on the Gottman Method, a research-based approach developed through decades of relationship study. Sessions focus on understanding relationship patterns, improving communication, reducing conflict, strengthening emotional connection, and developing healthier ways of responding during difficult conversations.

Individual relationship counselling is designed for people experiencing relationship uncertainty, separation, or family change. Sessions are paced and thoughtful, focusing on understanding your situation, reducing emotional pressure, and approaching important decisions without feeling rushed by urgency or heightened emotion.

Carlene brings more than 20 years of experience working in family law, providing valuable insight into the emotional and practical challenges that often accompany relationship conflict, separation, and family change. Counselling is delivered in a calm, structured, and evidence-based way, with appointments available in person from our Miami clinic on the Gold Coast and via telehealth Australia-wide.
