History of Camera House Adelaide - Twin City Our business started way back in 1967 as Twin Street Camera Repairs. We specialised in repairing cameras for other camera stores and businesses and before we knew it, our clientele grew, our business grew, and we had to employ more technicians to help us keep up with high demand. In 1981 we were fortunate enough to move into a larger premises in Twin Street and as the business grew, we slowly began selling cameras, accessories, and optics. We next expanded the store a third time, to the shop next store to become a stand-alone workshop. And in 1994 we moved into our current location on Grenfell Street and expanded the retail side of our business. In 2000 we joined the Camera House group, employed more staff who specialised in pro cameras, second-hand equipment, and compact/ early entry cameras.
