Now celebrating its 16th year, the restaurant has become a hub for corporate clientele during the week or international visitors and celebrities wanting top notch Australian cuisine in glorious surroundings for lunch or dinner. “We have understood from the day we opened that we are part of the fabric of the city, and we have always embraced being quintessentially Sydney, ” says director of operations Jan McKenzie. To that end, Cafe Sydney supports a number of cultural attractions and events throughout the city including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Film Festival and The Sydney Festival.
