Early Childhood Outside School Hours Care Health and Fitness Sailing Club Runners Club Group Accommodation - Bush Capital Lodge Y Buys Op Shops Youth Parliament Volunteering We are a community based charity organisation governed by a volunteer board of directors and are a member association of the National YMCA of Australia. We work closely with other YMCAs around the country to provide a voice and lead change through representation and advice to government. Safeguarding Children and Young People is a priority for the YMCA of Canberra and we are a recognised Safeguarding Children and Young People organisation accredited by the Australian Childhood Foundation. Certificate of Accreditation Our programs are funded through payment of fees for service, application of grant funding through various government and private bodies and through a dedicated network of volunteers who work to raise funds that are utilised to support community programs and social inclusion. We work collaboratively with government and other non profit groups and partners to provide a broad range of programs and services to the Canberra Community. In all that we do we strive to build strong people, strong families and strong communities.
