Description
Boyac is a leading distributor of textiles and wallpapers from international furnishing houses to the Australian interior design, architecture and decoration market. A story of craftsmanship and skill, Boyac brings a wealth of expertise and design from some of the world's oldest fabric houses, many who remain under the direction of the families who established them generations - even hundreds of years - ago. Rich silks and velvets, hand-woven horsehair cloths and luxurious pure linen weaves are produced often using the same artisanal methods for centuries, but with today's contemporary interiors in mind. The names in the Boyac stable are amongst the world's elite, supplying bespoke and luxury fabrics for the latest fashion-forward interiors, while still tapping into their heritage roots. Le Crin, part of Hermes' textile division, is one of only two remaining workshops producing hand-woven horsehair fabrics, Veraseta produces luxury silk damasks, stripes and taffetas from one of the few remaining silk mills in France while Venetian company Luigi Bevilacqua is among the last producers of handmade cut-silk velvets, woven on 17th-century looms. Boyac's collections balance tradition with the work of today's designers, including Bernie de Le Cuona, whose unique collections challenge the concept of what is new in textile - often classically simple, sometimes complex, but always timeless. The grand decorating house Watts of Westminster is a leader in bespoke wallpapers and archival fabrics, customised for contemporary, individual interiors. US wallpaper and fabric house Thibaut represents the glory of decoration, with a collection that spans the full spectrum from classic traditional to ultra-contemporary, that's always fresh and colourful. Whether it be minimalist, maximalist, or anywhere in between, Boyac represents a world of decoration relevant to today's interiors.
