Description
Bendigo Day Surgery is a modern, stand-alone facility which opened in October 2008. The facility was established to complement the existing medical and hospital-based services in Bendigo and Central Victoria. Previously most surgical procedures were performed in a hospital. Today, improvements in surgical technique, anaesthesia and pain control allow more than 50% of all surgery to be completed as day case procedures. Patients are admitted just before their surgery and go home when recovered from the anaesthetic, in the care of an adult who can stay with them for the first postoperative night.

We want you to be well prepared for your visit. All our are committed to making your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Your Pre-admission Paperwork Reduce your waiting time by completing your paperwork and returning it to us before your admission. When your procedure is booked, the reception staff at your doctor's rooms will give you your Admission paperwork. You should complete this and return it to the Bendigo Day Surgery Reception desk (either in person or by mail). on the preceding Friday if your procedure is booked on a Monday). ask you some questions and obtain a brief medical history explain your fasting requirements give you your arrival time at the Bendigo Day Surgery. We do make an effort to try to minimize your waiting time, but we can't always predict how long some procedures will take and some delays are unavoidable.
