Baimbridge Antiques began in a small way as a hobby business for Ruth whilst she was at home with five sons. The business commenced in the home at Mt Baimbridge Road Hamilton, hence the name Baimbridge Antiques. The business grew as did the boys, the boys left home as did the business which moved into a retail premises at 124 Thompson Street Hamilton. Son number two, Rhys, developed a passion for antiques and joined the business which continued to grow under his guidance and move to its current location at 64 Thompson Street, a much larger premises. Antique Estate and some new jewellery are located at the front of Baimbridge Antiques. The furniture show room displays a wide variety of furniture including 18th century oak through to 19th century formal mahogany interspersed with choice pieces of Australian Colonial furniture complimented with objects d’art, porcelain, china art works and prints.
