Emma is a very passionate advocate of reflexology, believing in the healing power of this very effective form of non invasive holistic healing. She likes to personalise her treatment plans for each and every client, ensuring their health and wellbeing are always the top priority in each and every session.
Reflexology is a very simple, safe and effective form of non-invasive holistic healing used by people of all ages and health conditions to achieve internal balance and harmony. It is extremely effective and incredibly relaxing; a little like having a tune up in car – like a full body massage without having to get undressed!!!
Reflexology is based on the premise that reflex points on the feet, hands and ears represent the organs, limbs, muscles and glands in the body. By working those points with a variety of specialised finger, thumb and knuckle techniques it is believed there will be a direct effect upon the corresponding organ.
Any imbalance in the body will show up to a reflexologist as congestion. This can sometimes be identified with visible markings on the feet, and usually shows up as a feeling of little ‘crystals’ under the skin.
Initially people may try reflexology because of a specific health condition and want to try a natural approach, however many also come as a preventative or maintenance programme. During a consultation, only the feet, hands or ears would be worked on, so it is also ideal for those who may feel self conscious about disrobing, as only the footwear needs to be removed.
Reflexology is very beneficial for helping with the following conditions : Back, Neck, Shoulder, Hip or other Muscular/Skeletal problems, Digestive disorders, including Constipation or IBS, Hormonal, Reproductive or Fertility issues, Asthma, Bronchitis or other Cardiovascular / Respiratory conditions, Allergies, Fatigue or Skin disorders, Oedema, Stress reduction and as part of an overall general health maintenance.
