Australian Opal Cutters is a fourth-generation family business specialising in genuine Australian opals and opal jewellery. Established in 1967, we offer one of Australia’s largest selections of natural Australian opals, including Lightning Ridge Black Opal, Queensland Boulder Opal, Crystal Opal and White Opal.
Visit our Sydney CBD showroom and workshop to discover loose opals, handcrafted opal jewellery, engagement rings and one-of-a-kind pieces. Many of our pieces are made in-house, with opals sourced directly from Australian miners.

Established in 1967, the business has more than 60 years of experience working with Australia’s national gemstone and has served customers from around the world.
Our Sydney CBD showroom and workshop offers an extensive selection of natural Australian opals, including Lightning Ridge Black Opal, Queensland Boulder Opal, Crystal Opal and White Opal. Customers can choose from loose opals, opal rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, engagement rings and unique one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces.
Many of our opals are sourced directly from Australian miners, allowing us to offer customers genuine Australian opals with clear information about the different opal types, qualities and origins. Much of our jewellery is also made in-house by our experienced jewellery team.
Australian Opal Cutters is known for providing an educational and personal experience rather than simply selling jewellery.
