Australia Post Knox City Centre Post Shop, Wantirna South, VIC

The rudest staff I've ever encountered. They treat customers who have difficulty with english as if they are stupid. Poor form guy, it doesnt cost anything to be nice.

Very unhappy with service, staff knowledge very poor. Went in to post a parcel, the dimensions were 96 cms long, 48 cms, wide, and 28 cms depth. Woman at counter told me the box was too big as she put a tape around the circumference and it measured more than 105 cms. She gave us a book which said the linear measurement could not be more than 105 cms. She could not understand that linear measurement was not the circumference. The parcel weighed 4.2 kgs and was well under the .25 cubic metres stipulated in the booklet. We did tell her that we went online and keyed in the measurements and they were under the max size, but she would not listen, and she suggested we get a smaller box or send it with a courier company. She suggested Toll, which I believe is a courier company. We ended up travelling to glen Waverley post office after we checked with Australia post by phone that the parcel was under the max size. We should not have been given false information and the staff at Knox City post office should be trained correctly in what they can accept and customer service. Also, I don't think the staff at Australia post should recommend customers go to other companies for the same service provided by Aust post What should have taken me a short time at my local post office instead took up a considerable part of my day, and I was very unhappy with the service
