Australia Post Carina LPO

I am a women, 65 years old, with a medical condition. I am not a criminal, do not look like a criminal but was treated like one by an officious woman behind the counter, full of her own self -importance. I was only there to pick up a parcel. I had been to this particular PO a few times in the past and found the service to be very good. This morning, however, I went in to retrieve my parcel, handed the notice to a woman I had never seen before. She manner was officious. She took the notice, then told me she needed my driver's licence as well, which I had left in the car, along with my bag. So I had to walk back down the stair-case, onto the parking lot where my car was parked and back again the stairs leading into the chemist. I finally arrived back at the PO with my license. The woman behind the counter proceeded to look at my photo and back at me several times - very over the top. She then took my license to a machine to check out if I really was who I claimed to me. It was all carried out with great deliberation and was ridiculous to watch. Eventually, she decided to return my card and had made sign for the parcel. It was a very silly carry-on towards an older person. I will never go back. She has lost a customer and I will be sharing this incident with my friends and neighbours. Again, it was humiliating to be treated like a criminal at my age .
