Arafura Resources Limited (ASX: ARU) is an emerging rare earths producer with a world-class project in the Northern Territory of Australia. The 100 per cent-owned Nolans Rare Earths Project is in advanced feasibility and Arafura is on track to be one of very few rare earths companies to enter the global supply chain this decade. The asset that underpins the Nolans Project is the Nolans Bore rare earths deposit. The Company has defined 47 million tonnes of Mineral Resources from surface down to a depth of 220 metres. Nolans has the potential to be a long-lived resource development, comprising mining, ore concentrating and chemical processing operations at the Nolans Bore site, and offshore refining (or rare earths separation) in a mature chemical precinct. Work is on track to bring a high-recovery, low-cost rare earths operation into production by 2017. The Company is targeting production of 20, 000 tonnes of high-value separated rare earth products each year - equivalent to about 10% of the world’s rare earths demand .
