Anything Goes at the Right Price, Cowes, VIC

Bought an item from the store on 21st April, 2024 while we were staying in San Remo for a getaway weekend. Brought it back home to Melbourne only to discover it does not work. Have been in touch with the shop, also sent a photo of product and receipt. At first, I was asked to go back to store for a credit but living in Melbourne, this was not a suitable solution. I then suggested I could be reimbursed by eftpos but was told they didn't know how to do this, which I wasn't convinced. I also noted the item I bought has been discounted by 50% and I have a suspicion that all the remaining products in the box would also fail to work. I suggested that they check them to prove I'm wrong but have not heard from them yet. It's only a small amount but it's the principle that counts. A shop should not sell a product that is not fit for purpose. So I suggest if you were to buy a electrical good or battery operated product from them and you're from out of town, check it before you leave the shop! (I am still waiting to them to tell me if I would be refunded).
