Established in 1993, Althaus Security Screens & Doors is a locally owned Toowoomba manufacturer and installer specialising in genuine Crimsafe security screens and doors. On 1 October 1996, we became Toowoomba’s first authorised Crimsafe licensee and have remained dedicated Crimsafe specialists ever since. In 2026, the Althaus team won two National Security Screen Association awards: Best Small Business and Best Domestic Installation – $7,000 and Under.
Every project carries direct owner accountability. Wayne or Rodney personally attends the property to measure and quote. Wayne and Scott manufacture each screen locally at our Harlaxton workshop, and Rodney completes the premium installation, supported by more than 45 years of industry experience.
Our products include Crimsafe Ultimate hinged and sliding security doors, security window screens, Safe-S-Cape emergency-exit screens, fall-prevention screens, servery screens and fixed security panels for patio enclosures. Each solution is custom-made using genuine Crimsafe materials and premium hardware, including Lockwood triple-locking systems where applicable.
