The vast majority of computer shops ‘repair’ computers by ‘replacement’ – replacing computer parts one by one until it starts working – this includes Apple.
This technique works well with Windows PCs because the parts are reasonably cheap but it is hideously expensive with Apple as the logic board will cost 80% – 90% of the cost of a new laptop.
