Acclaim Dance and Cheer Co., Phillip, ACT

From my family’s experience I can't speak highly enough about Acclaim Dance and Cheer Co. My daughter has been a part of this community for a year and a half now, and it truly feels like her second home. The teachers at Acclaim are not only incredibly talented but also very encouraging and inclusive. They create an environment where every child feels valued and supported. Dancing at Acclaim has definitely had a positive impact on my daughters co-ordination, strength, and also her confidence. I would wholeheartedly recommend Acclaim to any parent looking for a nurturing and fun place for their kids to learn to dance.

Had the worst experience having taken my daughter here for a trial. Firstly, besides an 'are you here for a trial?', there was no welcome introduction to the studio. We arrived early expecting some sort of explanation to how things are done and what the classes entail but that didn't happen. Isn't this a normal business procedure? Secondly, we were expected to just let our daughter get into a closed class/room that we have not been shown to (or my daughter for that matter). There was no assurance to my child or us as the parents that she would be safe, in the least. So of course as parents we insisted on being in the room she's never been in, with people she's never met. The only positive I can say about this experience is that the teacher made sure that my child was included in the activities. She also did make the effort to introduce herself to my child before the class began. But I was again disappointed at the end of the class when I was standing at the reception area clearly waiting to speak to someone when a staff member, who clearly knew we were there for a trial did not even stop to ask how it went, but instead walked past me like I wasn't even there. We left disappointed and baffled.
