They are wind-rated to 180 km/hr with an option for a cyclonic wind-rated product if required. The finishing options are endless with 30 standard solid colours or stained wood grains to choose from. If that’s not enough we can also custom paint in just about any colour suit. Customcraft Engineered Shutters Produced using a composite of renewable wood materials, our engineered shutters are universally accepted as the most economical and stable shutter design on the market. Available in a range of solid white and off white colour variations. Engineered shutters will never need painting and are scratch and dent resistant. As this product is produced using timber strands and glue it is extremely dense and very good for high traffic areas. The engineered shutter in its raw form has a low resistance to moisture; however with the polypropylene coating the shutter becomes a fully sealed unit and performs very well against contained amounts of moisture. ABS (Water Proof) Our ABS shutters are produced using a timber core and is then encased in a synthetic product called Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). This product performs extremely well in high moisture areas and is extremely hardwearing. Again like the engineered shutter, ABS (PVC) is scratch resistant and dent resistant and is not susceptible to warping. The timber used for the core is laminated giving it greater strength and resistance to sagging and excessive movement.
